What Should I do?

I am a Foreigner

I walked down the street off from one to another to get to know the town. I was directly walked to the river Rhine. Different from Cambodia, There is quite at 9:30 am. People were just having exercise on the street and the markets were quieted. Photo: Tith Chandara (Self-Timer Captured)

I saw foreigners found it hard to communicate with non-English speakers in my country. I can see their astonished face seems like “How can I get help?” 

When you have ever been out of the country, you never feel that you are a foreigner. You have seen foreigner in your country and say something behind them. Really!! I’m sure that more or less you will have some problems while living abroad. 

When traveling somewhere, I need to hold two maps: the city map and the train route map. People are staring at me and obviously know that I am a foreigner.

design? Say Sovann Samphors, a 3rd accountant student at VANDA institute said “I wonder how the designer can get the idea. It forbids me to move forward; sometimes, to look at the advertisement with good graphic design on the newspaper.” 

From the past last to ever since, Cambodia has a great idea in arts and design. When the age of electronic and information technology comes, graphic design is becoming more interested.

Technology (IT) people formed a group helping Cambodian students to open the gap between university/school and the real working environment. It is called “Share Vision” team. 

Share vision is a team aims to share experiences and skills in IT related to students at the university level or schools based in order to bring the space between the schooling and working reality.

My Favorite Place

As many people prefer traveling to a natural tourist resort, I did a trip to Rathanakiri 

We went to a water fall in Rathanakiri and we were about to try riding the elephant, but some of us were afraid. Taking this photo was a hurry captured because we afraid of the elephant hitting us.

province that took about 10 hours on taxi. It took around 580Km from Phnom Penh where I am living to reach that place. Three times I have been there, I got twice to go a Natural National Park, Vireakchey and where was a very nice that have never been in life. It is my most favorite place. 

I had to take a car from Rathanakiri town around 2 hours and continued the traveling by a small boat with small machine for about 5 more hours to arrive the park. On the boat I seemed to travel straight on to a mountain. When we met a small waterfalls we just stopped and

Korean Language Students

See No Worry to the falls of Korean Investment

Phnom Penh: Carrying books and a bag, a Korean Language student Men Sok Kieng walk out of her Korean class showing no worry to the future job market despite the downturn in local Korean investment. 

Investment by S. Koreans fell 25 percent in 2008 and could plummet by as much as 58 percent more in 2009,” says the Cambodia Daily on Tuesday, March17, 2009. This could hit the job market of Cambodia students who study Korean language; many students like Men Sok Kieng say they won’t worry. 

The managing director of Cambodia Properties Limited, Cheng Kheng said, after the world economic crisis, Korean investments are decrease to come to the company, CPL. 

The Institute of Foreign Language’s Korean department in 2009 consists of 82 students and 5 teachers. Some of those have been to Korea for exchange program, short course, and scholarship. 

“Korean government gives chance to Cambodia students to study in Korea,” a visiting lecturer Hwang Hye Ran says. “Every student tries to study hard in order that they want to go to Korea.”   

How to Deliver a Good Presentation?

A well understanding needs a good explanation. Explanation through a presentation is a common used for the past until the modern ages. Unless you know how to deliver your presentation very well, you can make it to be an effective presentation or else to follow these three main steps.  


First of all, planning is one among the basic skeletons of presentation. You have to understand your audience that what they need to know. Then you may have to do research within your topic. Research and collect all the information as much as possible, but too generalize you topic. It must be specific to the theme of your topic. Next you can set up your length of your presentation whether you are allowed to make it just short time or longer.
 

Second, take all what you have planned to make a preparation to the presentation. Summarize the information you have searched. Make it concise and clear. You may need to write an outline for a whole presentation additionally to the slide presentation. The visual aids must also be prepared such as an interesting slide show, pictures, drawing, or any objects that are related to the presentation as a whole. Check all the equipments that you need for the presentation whether there are enough or you need to find some more such as computer, LCD projector, and supported documents in hand. Prepare all in advance what you need to be involved in your presentation. 

Finally, it is the time for you to make your presentation. Make sure you expertise or master you topic before you deliver. You have to be confident during your presentation or you may feel struggle and forget what you what to say. Decide a good to deliver your presentation such as the language use, using humor, voice, and so on. Remember that your presentation needs a comfortable place with a good temperature. 

In conclusion, an effective presentation delivery requires planning, preparing, and delivering as the main steps. As a presenter, the three steps above will need you to be followed and you can make it memorable to your audiences.
