My Favorite Place

Bingo! Finally I got to the top of the mountain in Vireakchey National Park in Rathankiri Province. I could see a very huge area of the forests. I did hiking on to this mountain after I got-off the boat and passed the clumsy forest with many bite-insects.

Where Are You Planning to For This Holiday?

As many people prefer traveling to a natural tourist resort, I did a trip to Rathanakiri province that took about 10 hours on taxi. It took around 580Km from Phnom Penh where I am living to reach that place. Three times I have been there, I got twice to go a Natural National Park, Vireakchey and where was a very nice that have never been in life. It is my most favorite place.
I had to take a car from Rathanakiri town around 2 hours and continued the traveling by a small boat with small machine for about 5 more hours to arrive the park. On the boat I seemed to travel straight on to a mountain. When we met a small waterfalls we just stopped and pulled the boat oppositely from the water flowing. Big-large-crowded- trees are surrounding. Sometimes I could see wild animal such as pig, cow, and some others that I don’t really know their name.
When I reached the place I planned, in a tribal village, I just had rest at an indigenous house and then went fishing with older people. I was a very nice time for me on going fishing at night. Honestly, I was afraid of the crocodiles and some other animal. We got those fish for our dinner. The indigenous people have their own identity wine, jar wine that made from rice and some other hidden ingredients. I have to drink it or it is a custom for all guests have to drink that wine when they are invited. At night time, the weather was absolutely cool that I almost cannot stand with that.
In the early morning, I woke early to set on the fire and warm the body. I was surprise to see a musk deer. It was hunted by the indigenous people while they went hunting in the forest at night. I test with care to the deer meat. It was a fantastic meat I have ever eaten.
I got back in the late morning with some left meat and fish. On the way home, we went fishing along the river. Arrived a waterfall, we just relaxed and had a picnic with the meat and fish. Then we back home.
In conclusion, even the trip made me so exhausted, but it was a memorable time in my life. I remember every activity I had done. I will never ever forget it. If you are planning a trip to somewhere, I would suggest you to go to VireakChey National Park in Rathanakiri province, Cambodia.

I was ready to swim in the Yeak Loam Lake in Rathanakiri province, but I wanna try a photo before I swim. That time I was about to felt in to the water. However, the water was very nice cold. You have never experience swimming such this natural lake if you haven’t been there.

We went to a water fall in Rathanakiri and we were about to try riding the elephant, but some of us were afraid. Taking this photo was a hurry captured because we afraid of the elephant hitting us.

Look at these Cambodian boys and you can guess who am I. When a friend has a wedding of their siblings, he or she always invite friends to enjoy wedding party together. This was in a quite rural wedding that we drive cars to join the party.

This group of playboys just finish playing card after a wedding party ended in SvayReang Province. Then, we didn’t sleep for a whole night, and here we were on the Vietnam duty free Hypermarket at the border of Khmer-Vietnam.

Whenever we look back to this photo, we always felt that we were very young compare to the next year we were. This is an extra-curricular activity that we went to the communities in order that we teach younger students on a specific topic and got some interview with older people for some experiences in life.

Though this is not a real Angkor Wat, but at least it represent that we have many temples in Cambodia welcoming tourists to come. This picture took when I went to a pagoda in order to get bless from the monks with a group of my friends.

This is a design of mine for my co-director’s farewell party, Caroline. She will go back to Germany in a short future. So we all the students, staffs, and lecturers of DMC celebrate this party for her.

Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia/ (http://www.khmerclub.com/gallery/data/512/CAMBODIA-10083.jpg)

People almost all over the world know Cambodia for its famous history and properties. Cambodia located in Southeast Asia with 24 cities in plus with provinces. Why are Scholarships so much harder to get now?

Whether you’re a student or a parent, you’ve probably been assuming all along that getting a scholarship today is not much different from getting a scholarship 5, 10, or even 20 years ago. You compete against your classmates, and may the best man/woman win, right?
Wrong. The process of giving and receiving scholarships has changed immensely over the last 10 years by the same invention that has turned so many other industries on their heads: the Internet. Nearly all major scholarships (and most of the minor ones) are now promoted on the Internet as well as in books and in schools around the world.
But so what, you say? The Internet provides incredible, worldwide access, and today’s students can apply for more scholarships than they ever could have hoped for in the past.
That’s true, but it’s also a double-edged sword, and that’s the part that no one outside this book wants to talk about. Scholarships that once received only a handful of applications now receive hundreds. Those that received hundreds before now receive tens of thousands. And now for the really bad news: That only counts American students.

What is Journalism?

Journalism
Journalism is a discipline of collecting, analyzing, verifying, and presenting information regarding current events, trends, issues and people. Those who practice journalism are known as journalists.
News-oriented journalism is sometimes described as the “first rough draft of history” (attributed to Phil Graham), because journalists often record important events, producing news articles on short deadlines. While under pressure to be first with their stories, news media organizations usually edit and proofread their reports prior to publication, adhering to each organization’s standards of accuracy, quality and style. Many news organizations claim proud traditions of holding government officials and institutions accountable to the public, while media critics have raised questions about holding the press itself accountable.

Public relations
Public relations is the art and science of managing communication between an organization and its key publics to build, manage and sustain its positive image. Examples include:
Corporations use marketing public relations (MPR) to convey information about the products they manufacture or services they provide to potential customers to support their direct sales efforts. Typically, they support sales in the short and long term, establishing and burnishing the corporation’s branding for a strong, ongoing market.
Corporations also use public-relations as a vehicle to reach legislators and other politicians, seeking favorable tax, regulatory, and other treatment, and they may use public relations to portray themselves as enlightened employers, in support of human-resources recruiting programs.
Non-profit organizations, including schools and universities, hospitals, and human and social service agencies, use public relations in support of awareness programs, fund-raising programs, staff recruiting, and to increase patronage of their services.
Politicians use public relations to attract votes and raise money, and, when successful at the ballot box, to promote and defend their service in office, with an eye to the next election or, at career’s end, to their legacy. colenal mustard said this too.
Can I become a journalist?
Citizen Journalism
In 2004 in South Korea citizen journalism was invented, with the launch of Ohmy News online daily newspaper. Today Ohmy News gets over 90% of its content from citizen journalists, has over 51,000 registered citizens as journalists, and has become one of South Korea’s best read and most trusted news sources. Citizen Journalism news services have been introduced in over a dozen other countries.

Participants and especially members of the Budapest team were on pins and needles till the arrive of their special guest, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) of State for Public Diplomacy Colleen Graffy, since it was her personal wish to meet Babelians living in Budapest during her visit in the Hungarian capital.

Too much freedom of the press?

There’s a bill in Congress that would provide protection for journalists from naming those anonymous sources they come up with from time-to-time. Former newspaper guy Carter Wood thinks it’s a bad idea and he explains why in a Forbes article. Wood suggests the law could be used as a cover for illegal activity. Whether the idea of a shield law is a bad idea or not, many people don’t realize there are no special privileges for journalists. There no extra set of laws to cover news gathering. If you trespass, ignore police warnings or hide information requested by a court, you can’t just flash a press pass and walk away.
